Suffolk Show tickets available as Christmas gifts

14 December 2018 |

The 2019 Suffolk Show will take place on Wednesday 29 and Thursday 30 May 2019 and tickets are available online now and make for a wonderful Christmas present.  The Show hosts activities and experiences that the whole family can enjoy and will continue to provide free educational activities.

The Suffolk Agricultural Association, organisers of the Suffolk Show, has launched a brand-new competition to help budding artists across the county showcase their work at the 2019 Suffolk Show. The art pavilion and exhibition are a popular attraction at the Suffolk Show with visitors flocking to pick up an original piece of art from home-grown talent. This year, A-level Art students will be able to showcase and sell their artwork to show visitors in the first competition of its kind. Artwork must be original but can be in any form including paintings, sculpture, photography and mixed media.

The 2019 Show will also see a unique display from the St Elizabeth Hospice’s ‘Elmer’s Big Parade’. As Education Partner, the SAA will host a unique opportunity for people to see Elmer’s Learning Herd, the 100 young Elmer sculptures, at the Show on 29 and 30 May 2019. The display will be a special preview for show visitors to see all the young Elmer’s together before the art trail officially opens a few weeks later.

Under 15s will once again come for free to the Show which takes place during half term week.  Membership packages and tickets are available online now and can be printed off at home.

As a charity, the SAA’s core purpose is to be a force for good and be trusted and relevant to all matters’ food, farming and the environment. The SAA achieves this through the Suffolk Show as well as a series of education programmes aimed at young people in schools and colleges.
